Our Story
Founded in the lush hills of Uttarakhand, Rustic Roots Woodworks began as a humble family workshop where generations of woodworking knowledge was passed down from father to son. What started as a small operation crafting furniture for local villagers has grown into a respected name in artisanal wood furniture, while maintaining our commitment to traditional techniques and sustainable practices.
Our founder, Arjun Rawat, learned woodworking from his father who was a master carpenter in the Kumaon region. After years of creating furniture for local homes and temples, Arjun realized there was a growing appreciation for authentic, handcrafted furniture that tells a story. In 2010, he officially established Rustic Roots Woodworks with the mission to preserve traditional Indian woodworking while adapting designs for contemporary living.
Today, our workshop employs 15 master craftsmen, each specializing in different aspects of furniture making - from joinery to finishing. We've stayed true to our roots, sourcing wood responsibly from managed forests and reclaimed sources, and using techniques that have been perfected over generations rather than opting for mass production methods.
Every piece that leaves our workshop carries with it the soul of the craftsman who made it. We don't just build furniture - we create heirlooms that will be cherished for generations. The natural variations in the wood, the slight imperfections of hand tools, and the unique character of each piece are not flaws but signatures of authentic craftsmanship.

Due to the handmade nature of our products, there may be slight variations from the product photos. Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly (within 5%) due to the natural characteristics of wood and traditional joinery techniques.
We offer a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers structural issues related to craftsmanship but does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, or environmental factors. For custom orders, we provide detailed drawings for approval before construction begins.
